32. Puppies vs babies

Just a few weeks ago, Scott Bedbury, brand manager and author or A New Brand World, spoke to our class of aspiring creative strategists. One of his major points was “emotions drive most of our big decisions.” Every major decision we make (who we marry, having kids, where to live, etc.) has a strong emotional driver. AdWeek came out with an article last week about a survey they did last month about what pulls at a consumers heart strings more. They looked at babies, puppies, old men and old women.
